Planning & Allocation Analyst

Kotn is looking for a Planning and Allocation Analyst to work closely with the Merchandising, Inventory Management, and Supply Chain functions to ensure the business has the right product at the right place at the right time. As part of the Planning team, you will report to the Senior Director of Planning & Allocation, and work to support short-term and long-term merchandise planning activities. What you’ll be working on:

Planning (50%)

  • Develop an understanding and deep knowledge of product performance by channel through weekly performance analysis
  • Provide in depth analysis and feedback on allocations to react to in-season trends and the mix of the store assortment in collaboration with planning, buying and stores
  • Report inventory risk and analysis pertaining to seasonality, profitability, and auto replenishment
  • Supporting the short-term and long-term sales, margin, intake and stock planning activities
  • Keeping track of OTB spend in collaboration with the Merchandising team
  • Forecasting and monitoring the sales of the Core segment of the consumer business
  • Analyzing trade performance metrics and preparing detailed reports to provide visibility on the same
  • Liaising with the inbound supply chain function to monitor the schedule of incoming products and raising flag to the buying & merchandising team in case of potential delays or any other impending event which may considerably affect the trading plan in the coming days

Retail allocation (50%)

  • Parter with Merchandising and Retail teams to pre-allocate seasonal product using division, department, category and sizing information to set channels up for success
  • Allocating stock to stores based on pre-defined strategy of newness distribution as well as replenishment of existing products
  • Connecting with store teams to acquire their feedback on product and stock levels, and incorporating their valid suggestions while allocating
  • Liaising with the Inventory Management and Logistics & Distribution teams to ensure the allocation is loaded in the system on time and reaches the stores as per schedule

Additional Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in retail planning or a related function
  • Excellent communication skills – written and oral
  • Expertise in MS Excel and Smartsheet
  • Flexibility and proactiveness with regards to day-to-day work
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Understanding of and alignment with the company’s sustainability-oriented ethos and vision
