Kotn is looking for a Data Analyst to Merchandising and Planning function. As an essential part of the Planning Team, the ideal candidate will be responsible for building data related to planning activities, e.g., demand forecasting, inventory management, receipts reconciliations, etc. to support effective decision-making and optimize our planning processes. The Data Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather required data to develop analytical models, the role will involve significant responsibilities related to data entry and data cleaning to ensure the integrity and accuracy of our planning data.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and data needs related to planning processes.

Collect, clean, and organize data from various sources, including internal databases, system, and different sources of sheets.

Perform data entry tasks to input new data and update existing records.

Support in developing the data needed to maintain analytical models and to support planning activities, such as demand forecasting, inventory optimization, sales planning, etc.

Conduct data cleaning tasks to identify and rectify inconsistencies, errors, and missing values in planning data.

Support in generating regular reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).

Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support decision-making and address specific planning challenges.

Customize reports to address specific questions or issues.

Provide turnaround on reports for urgent business needs.

Data Analyst, Egypt

to provide leadership and direction to the Buying, Merchandising & Planning teams at Kotn Inc. As an essential part of the Executive Team, you will work closely with our SVP Product and Merchandising and senior leadership across the organization to assist in growing our vision, and executing the successful progression of Kotn’s supply chain. This is an exciting opportunity integral to the growth and success of Kotn.

The ideal candidate for this role is strategic, methodical, data driven and has broad Canadian retail and merchandising expertise and will be responsible for developing and executing strategic business plans and contributing to the development of the product assortment planning, pricing and margin strategies. You will manage and grow current teams in Planning, Merchandising & Buying and work efficiently & effectively to establish additional supply chain functions.

Act as the voice of the consumer to establish and drive product strategy on current and future Kotn products

Create category and product strategy plans, advocate for the strategy across the organization

Identify key opportunity growth areas, strategies to drive incremental sales and enhanced financial performance

Research and track relevant competition and monitor the Kotn positioning in various markets

Review seasonal pricing matrix and maintain price positioning in line with Kotn’s vision and strategy

Interpret market needs and trends specific to the Kotn customer. Understands the essence of the KOTN brand and target consumer

Set, communicate and drive product strategy for Kotn in close collaboration with other functions

Revisit and adjust strategy when necessary while staying agile, with both a proactive and reactive approach

Manage the Merchandising team and lead product strategy for Kotn, reporting and interpreting sales performance across the business

Develop and execute merchandise plans and buying strategies to achieve corporate goals for Kotn

Leverage on key products and key categories to drive both sales and margins. Ensure that the business builds on past successes

Build product category and SKU plans, using historical data to define the breadth and depth of product categories, and positioning of products to support the brand strategies

Act as the creator and driver of a "5-year plan". Coordinate with all functions to make sure the business remains on track to meet and exceed targets

Oversee planning and management of inventory through monthly OTB’s, flow of core product availability, allocation and replenishment in sales channels

Enhance existing inventory models to improve forecast accuracy and inventory turnover. Develop business models that would provide the needed analytics to support small- to large-scale strategic decisions

Collaborate closely with the Finance, Operations, Growth, and Retail teams to strategize, develop, and manage robust inventory and working capital plans that support our pre-season and in-season activities and longer-term strategic objectives for all business units

Routinely forecast and recommend improvements to inventory flow to meet annual inventory turnover targets, improve cash flow, optimize sales and sell-through, and maximize margins

Keep close control of demand forecasts and make sure that OTB projections are aligned, routinely reviewing OTC consumption and remaining balance

Make sure that Buyers generate purchase orders down to the SKU level with incredible precision and accuracy.

As a Production Coordinator at Kotn, you will be an integral part of the Supply Chain Team, responsible for coordinating the bulk manufacturing of raw materials and finished goods. Your primary focus will be to ensure production aligns with the overall company product strategy, sustainability standards, and market needs.

Order Management and Production Followup (60%)

Ownership over the full order lifecycle from PO issuance till delivery & shipping.

Manage the buy confirmation to negotiate the best delivery with vendors. Analyze the capacity and capability of vendors to make sure they can deliver the right product on time.

Prepare Time & Action plans for each order/program to ensure target delivery date is achieved

Daily follow up on orders status to ensure on-time delivery.

Timely update of orders’ progress on KOTN system/tools.

Manage production process which includes WIP and PO changes.

Work closely with factories to ensure on time delivery, troubleshoot issues.

Visit factories in Egypt on a weekly basis or hold virtual meetings with factories outside of Egypt for production tracking on a weekly basis.
