Inventory Analyst

About the role:


Kotn is looking for a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious Inventory Analyst to join our Planning team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and is able to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and roll up their sleeves to get the job done. This team member will play a critical role in coordinating, analyzing, and reporting on the company’s inventory as we strive toward best in class supply chain and working capital management. Our company is experiencing rapid growth, so we will be looking for someone who can grow with us.

This position is full-time, based in Toronto, and reports to the Director of Finance & Planning.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Maintaining strict oversight of issued POs, working with our Egypt(Production) and Retail teams to prepare for new product arrivals andre stocks, continuously keeping a pulse on incoming and on hand supply against what has been ordered and allocated
  • Maintain high degree of accuracy in our perpetual Inventory Management System by:
  • ensuring quantities and carrying costs down to the SKU level are always kept up to date
  • receiving against POs and conducting other data entry as required
  • reconciling against 3PL and sales order platforms
  • managing sample inventory, stock pulls, and return
  • maintaining highly accurate inventory valuation, including landedcosts, other cost of goods, pricing tiers for management decision making
  • managing the company’s cycle count processes and execution
  • Maintaining stock floor-plan and consolidation of product
  • Reporting on inventory, including product levels, sell-throughs, discrepancies, defects, etc.
  • Maintaining a highly accurate inventory delivery schedule by sales channel,and issuing inventory milestone alerts to key stakeholders as required
  • Managing SKU and Barcodes across 3PL and IMS platforms
  • Consistently identifying opportunities to improve, and seeing improvement initiatives through to completion

Experience you’ll need:

  • BA/BS degree and 2-4 years experience in inventory planning, finance, operations, or data analytics
  • Advanced competency in Excel
  • Top-notch analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter, efficient, organized and able to produce high quality work under pressure and in a timely fashion
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Familiarity with inventory planning concepts/theory, SQL queries, and/or Lean management methodology would be considered a plus
