Account Manager

About the role:

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for executing sales from prospecting to production on Kotn’s custom branded division of the company, Ordinary Supply. As an integral member of our sales team, you will be responsible for finding new clients and be a point person for our current client list, establishing long term-profitable relationships. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key player as we grow this side of Kotn. You will report into the Director of Accounts who will outline sales targets and areas of business. We are looking for someone who is comfortable in the promotional goods industry and has experience in the promotional marketing space.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work with the Director of Accounts on executing the client prospecting strategy, identify new sectors, channels and areas of business
  • Respond to RFP and inbound requests
  • Work with Director of Accounts to create marketing materials, pitch decks, email templates and scripts
  • Source new sales opportunities through networking and turn them into long term partnerships
  • Manage the full sales cycle for new and existing clients (lead generation, qualifying, demonstrate value, guide prospect understanding, deliver and support)
  • Create proposals by understanding a client's vision, budget and timelines
  • Generate estimates and final client invoicing by working with our vendors on a project by project basis
  • Work with our Production Manager to ensure orders are correctly produced by creating clear and concise purchase orders in a timely manner
  • Keep up to date and organized client information and notes in our CRM daily
  • Provide client, pipeline and sales information to our Director of Accounts for weekly reporting
  • Manage new and current client relationships by providing weekly, monthly and quarterly check ins to build rapport, maximize efforts and boost selling potential
  • Responsible for weekly, monthly and quarterly goals outlined by Director of Accounts
  • Act as a brand steward; ensure clear and comprehensive communication with clients representing Kotn and Ordinary Supply

Experience you’ll need:

  • Between 1-3 years in a sales role or sales support role (Account Manager, Account Coordinator or Business Development)
  • Comfortable in the promotional goods industry and experience in the promotional marketing space is a plus
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g. Hubspot, Salesorce, Pipedrive, etc.)
  • Strong business development skills
  • Excellent at negotiating deadlines and pricing on a project by project basis
  • You are organized, confident, creative, can identify a clients’ needs quickly and can offer suggestions that benefit the client and Kotn
  • You work well under pressure and are able to multitask
  • Enthusiastic, can-do approach: No task too small attitude and willing to wear multiple hats in a small team environment
  • You are passionate about the future of fashion and manufacturing and have an understanding of the ethical fashion landscape
