Growth Marketer (Paid Acquisition)

About the role:

Kotn is looking for an ambitious self-starter to join the Growth Team as a Growth Marketer (Paid Acquisition). You’ll work on projects ranging from creating ad briefs to segmenting audiences to uncovering media buying opportunities. The ideal candidate is someone that is curious about customer acquisition, enjoys having ownership of their own channels and believes that every assumption we have about our business can change tomorrow - that is what drives them to constantly experiment. A fit for the role is someone who is comfortable with data, understands the importance of insight driven ad creative, a quick learner, and always looking to improve individually and as a team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Owning the ad creation process in conjunction with the design team by building briefs, gathering customer insights and sharing learnings
  • Identifying new audiences and segments to market to for both our prospecting and remarketing campaigns
  • Building experimentation documents and running tests to uncover new opportunities within our paid channels
  • Reporting on and analyzing campaign, audience and ad data to discover areas for improvement and optimization
  • Transfering learnings from existing Paid channels to potential new channel tests like Pinterest, Snapchat, Twitter & TikTok
  • Reporting to the Director of Growth on the hits, misses, and insights you discover in your work, sharing key takeaways with the larger team

Experience you’ll need:

  • Experience working across digital marketing channels
  • Experience with paid acquisition and ad platforms, e.g. Facebook Ads, Google, etc.
  • High affinity for data and proficiency with Excel (bonus points for SQL or Python)
  • Strong understanding of growth frameworks and funnels
  • Experience collaborating on projects cross-functionally, specifically with a design team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to write insight-driven briefs for creative teams

What would set you apart:

  • Design experience creating ads on software like Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Figma, Sketch, etc.
  • Knowledge of copywriting best practices
  • Up to date on CRO best practices, frameworks, and testing
  • Understanding of key trends and tactics within Facebook ads and other ad platforms
